CMS Internal Training Exercise 3

Exercise 3

Let's Move Some Content!

Focus:
We'll look at the process for Content Transfer and use that as a way to practice using the CMS even more than before! The key focus for Content Transfer is to keep it tidy, pretty and complete! We won't focus on all the rules of Content Transfer, just the major ones.

What you will be doing:
Using your assigned Site Sections, begin transferring content from the Sample Google Site to your website! There are some tricky bits of content in this Sample Site that you would commonly see on client websites. If you get stuck, note where you've gotten stuck. As you transfer content, create yourself a notes document to record any content you skipped or got stuck on.

Keep in mind that Content Transfer Notes are shared both internally and directly with the client! We use these to tell the client what was skipped over and why. This is also used for the Senior Transfer Specialist to tell their team what content is required and what is to skip for that specific client.

Hide your training & practice pages from the Dynamic Navigation. Transfer everything from the "Client" original site that isn't broken.
